Immediate danger comes first

Call 911 for an immediate threat involving health, fire, traffic, severe heat or cold, a child, a vulnerable person, an animal, or personal safety. A locksmith website is not an emergency-response service.

Emergency and safety

What should I do if someone is in immediate danger?+

Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service first. A locksmith website is not a substitute for emergency responders.

What if a child or animal is locked inside a vehicle?+

If heat, cold, traffic, medical distress, or another condition creates immediate danger, call 911 and follow emergency instructions before treating it as a routine service request.

Should I try to force a door or window?+

No. Avoid climbing, breaking glass, prying, drilling, or following security-bypass instructions that can cause injury, damage, or an unauthorized entry.

Calling and arrival

What information should I share when I call?+

Share the city, exact safe location, property or vehicle type, affected entry, key situation, immediate safety concern, and how authorization can be verified.

How quickly will a technician arrive?+

A truthful estimate depends on the exact location, current availability, traffic, weather, and the details of the call. No fixed arrival promise is published.

Are you open 24/7?+

Yes. SteadyKey accepts lockout requests 24 hours, 7 days a week. An arrival estimate still depends on current conditions and availability.

Why does each city have a different phone number?+

Dedicated business-controlled lines route the request by service city and make call performance easier to measure without claiming three public storefronts.

Authorization

Will I need to prove authorization?+

You may need to establish that you own, occupy, manage, rent, drive, or are otherwise authorized to request access or locksmith work.

What if my identification is locked inside?+

Explain that before dispatch. Other records, reliable authorized contacts, rental or fleet information, resident portals, or property records may help depending on the situation.

Can a landlord, manager, or employer request service?+

A verified authorized representative may be able to approve work, subject to current possession, tenant or employee circumstances, property rules, and reliable role confirmation.

Can a locksmith resolve an ownership or roommate dispute?+

No. A locksmith should not decide an active possession, domestic, roommate, landlord-tenant, employment, or ownership dispute.

Services and pricing

Which services does SteadyKey focus on?+

The primary services are emergency, car, home, residential, apartment, and commercial lockouts. Broken-key extraction is assessed separately.

Do you make or program replacement car keys?+

Vehicle entry is the confirmed focus of the car-lockout page. Ask about the exact year, make, model, and key system before relying on key replacement or programming.

Do you offer rekeying or hardware replacement?+

Entry, rekeying, repair, replacement, and security upgrades are separate scopes. Confirm the exact capability and estimate before relying on adjacent work.

How much will service cost?+

Pricing depends on the location, property or vehicle, lock, key condition, timing, authorization, work required, and any parts. Confirm what the estimate includes before service begins.

Can the price change after arrival?+

If the actual condition differs materially from the call description, the revised scope and price should be explained and approved before additional work proceeds.

Service areas

Do you serve Shoreline, Lynnwood, and Everett?+

Yes. SteadyKey has a dedicated page and future business-controlled telephone line for each of those three city service areas.

Do the city pages represent public storefronts?+

No. The pages describe a mobile service-area business and do not claim customer-facing offices or walk-in locations.

Are nearby cities automatically covered?+

No. Nearby-city service should be confirmed by telephone for the actual address rather than assumed from proximity.
